NBCC Goes to FAMILY KINGDOM!

What do you do when the youth director gets an idea to go to an amusement park?! Well, if you are at NBCC, you go with it! :) Rev. Aubrey Avery, Youth Director at NBCC coordinated and planned just such a trip to Family Kingdom in Myrtle Beach, SC.

We had been wanting to do a family outing where everyone could enjoy it and wanted to time it so that it could be done just before the kids went back to school. We all worked very hard doing some fund raising. We did a car wash (thanks Advance Auto in Burgaw, NC for donating the space and water) and a doughnut sale. Aubrey coordinated all these events and with the blessings of the Lord and some good ole fashioned work, we raised all the needed funds.

The day finally came on Sunday August 23. After church service on Sunday morning, we all met back at NBCC and convoyed down to Myrtle Beach for 8 hours of fun and excitement. What an awesome time we had with apporx 31 attending. Check out the pictures below. We can't wait to do it again next year, Lord willing!
