EASTER 2009 PICNIC

We always look forward to Easter time and what this special day signifies! It is summed up in John 3:16 - 17 which says: 16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Easter is a reflection about the time that Jesus endured great hardship and persecution through the agony and pain of death by crucifiction... It is about the lives of the disciples and the state of the church during this period... But MOST OF ALL, it is about the resurrection of our Lord and Savior from the Dead! Jesus became our atoning sacrifice so that we might be reconciled to God through Him. There's no greater love than that!!! The Easter message this year was entitled, "The Shed Blood".

We have a tradition here at NBCC to have a picnic at Moores Creek National Park at Easter time. We join together for food, fun and fellowship as well as an Easter Egg hunt for the kids (and kids at heart)! The weekend was filled with great enjoyment with each other and as we worshipped the King on Easter Sunday morning.
