World Witness Dir. Doc Hobbs Visits NBCC

Rev. Dock Hobbs Visits NBCC

On Sunday, January 25, 2009, Rev. Dock Hobbs visited our church. He currently serves as the World Witness Director for the Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church denomination. He shared a great message with our people and also shared about the Faith Promises Program.

NBCC honored Dock with a tribute as well by putting together a video recalling the visit to a small country in the middle of the Indian Ocean called MAURITIUS. Back in 2002, Dock joined our pastor, Rev. Ray Davis, in Mauritius to witness the work going on there. They had a wonderful time together ministering to the people on the islands of Mauritius and Rodrigues. Several were saved and a friendship was birthed between Dock and Ray. You can check out that video by going to our home page and clicking on NBCC TV and then choosing the "TRIBUTE TO DOCK" video.

NBCC also used this time to make two donations to the World Missions Department. First, we presented a check for $436 as our HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS offering for 2008 and a check for $261 for the Harvesters Bible Academy student supplies. This is one of our annual missions projects where we provide funds for the college students in Candon, Philippines so that they can purchase toiletries, paper, pencils, and other supplies for school. We had a great time and sincerely thank Dock for his visit.
